Serious question: Do you hang a stocking for your cat this time of year? We don’t decorate too much since we go to family and don’t host ourselves on holidays, but we love to hang stockings on our mantel with a few gifts. It’s silly and cute and we love watching Penny and Twyla investigate their newfound prizes. Plus, filling one with toys, treats, and catnip is a pretty genius way to distract them from tearing into your own gifts on Christmas day. (And slightly less messy than wrapping paper torn to bits.) Maybe I’m making excuses, but these gifts for cats are just too cute!

I have a mild obsession with adorable cat toys, if you can’t tell. (If you do too, prepare to kill a few hours on Etsy…) If they’re going to be sprinkled across the floor they might as well be fun! And if you’re actually in need of some bigger, more functional items for your cats, like scratchers, carriers, or bowls, there are so many stylish ones to choose from on modern cat sites these days. Have you ever seen a cat carrier this stylish? It could double as a picnic basket.
If your friends are as obsessed with their cats as I am, be sure to send this guide their way!
