about studio wallflower

the evolution of two wallflowers

Hello there! We’re wallflower, two bloggers-turned-freelancers-turned-business-partners and shop owners who first teamed up back in 2014 on a project called The Blog Market. We’ve been helping people build blogs they love ever since. As freelancers, Angela has provided digital strategy, content creation, social media management, and copywriting services over the years and Jennifer is a self-taught web developer specializing in WordPress and Shopify. In 2019, we decided to make it official and combine our services into one studio, named wallflower after our introvert natures and love of beauty.

Since then, we’ve branded, designed, built, and grown websites for thoughtful brands and people across many industries, both serviced-based and ecomm. We are dedicated to helping meaningful brands thrive online through their message, design, and development… and a whole smattering of other things.

In September 2022 we expanded wallflower and launched our own ecommerce marketplace with the same name. (We’re officially live, see it here!!!). Our shop is a celebration of independent artists and beautiful design from around the globe. Now, we split our time between maintaining our ecommerce brand and continuing to help clients carve out their own online spaces too.

Meet Angela

Angela - co-founder of studio wallflower

Angela always knew she’d be a writer and has a uniquely cringey journal from every year of her life to prove it. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to chase that dream, and has managed digital content ever since. Now back in Seattle, she’s all about providing good strategy, playful design, and thoughtful copy to those who believe the world is beautiful and want to keep it that way. She’s into conscious living, playing with flowers, and clinging to her two clingy cats.

Meet Jenn

Jenn is a web developer, aspiring beekeeper, and all-around dreamer with west coast roots. College helped her discover all the things she didn’t want to do—in her free time she spent evenings writing blogs and learning code, not knowing it would become more than a hobby. 8 years later, she’s moved states, gotten married, adopted a kitty named Penny, and is developing websites for some of the internet’s most talented designers. Jenn is also an expert at finding (and staying at!) cute Airbnbs, and a pop culture pro thanks to her podcast obsession.

Changes her major four times, probs because deep down she knew she would be a blogger, which is not (yet) a legitimate career path.
