Perhaps you already know this but, I recently learned that Jacquard is not a fabric itself, but a type of loom used in the manufacturing of brocade and other textiles with intricate patterns. (Of course, my only real experience with it is finding cute 90s brocade mini dresses at the thrift store in college and re-selling them on Etsy. Not exactly original!) But when done well, the resulting textile is unlike any other. You can’t help but think of vintage luxury when you feel it—the designs woven into the fabric themselves make for an iconic texture. And in modern fashion, it’s such a unique choice, somehow containing just the right of elegance, edge, and antique charm. Beginning with Stine Goya’s Cornelia coat, we were inspired by our favorite luxury fashion brands and a bold fall color palette to dream up today’s edition of #funwithtrends!

The colors and designs of jacquard can be dramatic, but so beautiful! How would you style it?
