Do you wear pastels in the fall? Candy colored hues are my first love, but when the temps drop I usually get all moody and opt for dark greens, jewel tones, and black. Paired with a red or mauve lip and dark nails, I don’t miss my typical rotation of pale pink and mint green all that much. Still, it seems like most Seattle dwellers could use a few brighter hues in their wardrobes, if only to highlight its contrast against gray days. (It’s truly all moss-colored designer outdoor gear here.) With pastel colorblocking, embellished collars, and lilac-everything in right now, I’m mulling over the idea of keeping my knits light and bright this season (all of my coats are pink, after all)… perhaps the joyful tones will lift my mood on those impending cold weather days?
If you’ve happened upon this post from Pinterest or some other inspiring source, this collage make look different to you. That’s because I first wrote about colorful sweaters a few years ago, and sadly they are almost all unavailable now. Luckily, there’s no shortage of charming shops on the internet to source these beautiful knits, so I’ve edited this for fall 2024 to include an updated selection. Shop below!
