Maybe it’s because it’s spring, but right now, I’m even more mesmerized by color than I usually am. (You saw my guide to colorful couches last week, yes?) Art installations can come in any color, form, material or size, but everything catching my eye as of late is color, color, color! And anytime I see my favorite materials like textiles, paper, or flowers (fresh or faux!) come together in an ethereal way like the artists below are to credit for, I’m reminded of the infinite ways humans can be creative, constructing worlds of our dreams in spectacular forms.
What’s really neat about the world of art installation, is that the maker can come from any background. They can be sculpture artists or event designers, crafters or weavers. A piece can be just as surprising and meaningful whether it’s exhibited at a museum or at a wedding or corporate event. Magic is everywhere, and the artists we’re rounding up below prove it (and then some). Now, for the most creative, colorful eye candy you’ll see today…

Corrie in Color is a Los Angeles based creative studio by Corrie Sullivan specializing in incredibly vibrant event and interior installations using anything from ribbons (above) to acrylic cut-outs (below) to paper, tassels, and so much more.

Momoca, a paper artist and muralist from Japan, creates paper plants, altars, murals, and event decor. Every single piece is truly one of a kind! I love these paper banana sculptures.

Swiss artist Juliette Sallin works with fiber and botanical inks to create abstract silk sculptures like this work-in-progress photo from the Florahealing collection. Some of my favorite hues!

California based ceramicist Anastasia Tumanova creates nature inspired and botanical wall hangings like this yellow gingko loom. Love seeing art inspired by the patterns of nature.

Guadalajara, México based Ixchel Yué of pluumbago creates stunning fiber installation, event decor and retail displays using macrame and other weaving techniques.
