This week, I began waking up to birds chirping outside my window. BIRDS! And not crows or gulls, even, which we’re blessed with year-round. The little finches that live in our trees each spring. It’s far from dress weather here in the PNW (unless you are one of those brilliant people who can layer dresses well enough to keep you warm in winter), but I’m over the moon that it’s on its way. Soon enough I won’t have to get deep into an Insta hole of Palm Springs for my daily vitamin D, and could flaunt one of these colorful maximalist dresses on my radar for Spring.
Pink Painted Toucans Midi Dress by Farm Rio / sold out, here’s another favorite maximalist dress by Farm Rio:
Sweet Forest Long Sleeve Mini Dress
Vintage Upcycled Floral Embroidered Maxi Dress with Ruffle Neckline by Sugar Cream Vintage
Acacia Print Tiered Dress by Olivia Rubin / sold out; another beauty by Olivia:
Priscilla Mixed Floral Midi Dress

Stefania Joe Dress by Stella Nova
Noa White Pastel Bow Dress by Olivia Rubin (also so pretty in black!)
ALÉMAIS Theo Printed Linen-Cotton Midi Dress
Surya Dress by Hannah Artwear
Okay remember our ode to the ric-rac revival? I regret not having included the glorious Juliet Dunn short and tank top set in that round-up. Nostalgic pastel dreams!!! Since we’re sticking to dresses here, this sweet floral dress is worth mentioning, too, and you can snag the print in different styles and lengths.
I can see styling the Stine Goya Anissa Dress with a pink headband and white sneakers. Since it’s now sold out, here are a couple other favorites from the same designer:
Stine Goya Spring 2023 – This is the Stina dress and matching set.
Lastly, love all of Busayo’s Colorful Maximalist Dresses!
I’m giving myself the rest of February, but next month I’m forcing myself out of hibernation, and into a dress whether I have an occasion or not! Which maximalist style dress is your favorite?
