There’s too much anticipation during the holiday season to only have less than two full months of merriment! Running the shop, I feel that now more than ever. For all that goes into curating thoughtful gifts, decorating your home, and planning meals and gatherings, it’s sure gone in a flash. But I’m trying to be more mindful this year and enjoy the present moment, no pun intended. Next step: finding the perfect gifts, and the pretty wrapping paper to present them in—my favorite! Find our guide to gift wrap—both from the shop and other artists we love—along with a list of thoughtful gifts to give, below.

Preparing the perfect package for gifts is actually a therapeutic activity for me. I spend a lot of time picking out the perfect gifts (read: overthinking), so I want the outside to be just as exciting. I also love when a gift just sticks out from the bunch. Beautiful wrapping paper, cute embellishments, fancy ribbon, and handmade gift tags are just a few ways I love to take them up a notch. Here are our favorite gift wrap supplies currently in the shop:

Besides our shop, one of my favorite places to find unique holiday gift wrap is Etsy! There are so many talented designers and illustrators there, it’s no wonder the gift wrapping ideas are endless. Click to shop our current faves:
Looking to take your gift wrap up a notch? A gift topper is always a good idea. My favorite gift toppers are ornaments because, obviously, you can use them right away. This is great if you’ll be seeing the recipient before Christmas or the New Year, so they can display the ornament along with their holiday decor before the season ends!
I also love photos in little frames as gift toppers, candy, and of course, the classic: a big fancy bow.

Our Own Selves book by fashion photographer Nadine Ijewere is one of my favorite books in the shop as it combines beauty, identity, fashion, color, and photography within its 192 pages. If you’re looking for a thoughtful gift for a friend who finds inspiration in fashion editorials, this will come as a beautiful surprise. The book itself is a pink linen hardcover with the title and author on the spine in a glittering light gold. It’s stunning!
Aside from books, our handmade beaded bags are another top item in our thoughtful gift givers guide, because of their incredible detail and whimsical designs. The latest in the shop are this dried flowers clutch. Photos don’t do it justice, but I tried. The beadwork is just stunning, and there are so many ways to wear it. While we think many a fashion and flower lover will appreciate its beauty and craftsmanship, it would also make the most gorgeous gift for a bride-to-be. (Or maybe I just need to see this beautiful photographed by a talented wedding photographer in a romantic setting.) We’re in love.
Another new addition to the collection is this cute daisy coin wallet, which allows you to gift the beautiful beadwork at a lower price point.
Had to include the Coastal Bluffs puzzle from Puzzle Weekend (Jenn’s other shop!). I know that puzzle lovers can be very dedicated to this relaxing pastime. They work with artists to collaborate on custom illustrations for their own line of puzzles, so they make great gifts for art lovers too.
Much of what you see pictured here, on the shelves and hanging from or stacked underneath the tree, is available at wallflower, so take a peek as you craft those holiday shopping lists. We hope you find something special! And, find more holiday ideas here.
