Our Fun with Trends series is one of our favorite things to develop here on the blog. It reminds of us of the early days of blogging, where everything was laidback and you just saw (or took what you thought was) a pretty picture or some fun products on Etsy and wrote about them. (Blogspot! Friday Favorites! Etsy treasuries! PicMonkey’s “Cross Process” Edit!) Okay, we’re getting off topic, but we like to infuse a little of that energy into this playful Friday series. Today we’re talking tomatoes, which is strange to say, but the internet is abuzz with them at the moment.
But if ever there were a produce to win the title of most trendy, it should be tomatoes. Ketchup, pasta sauce, soup… All the best bases for my favorite meals are tomato derived. Plus, they’re easy to grow (or so I’ve heard) and make the cutest of illustrations, especially on the vine. Today, let’s celebrate the humble tomato… and how it’s showing up in design, fashion, and decor. #tomatogirlsummer
