First came weaving and embroidery, then came punch needle art, and now, rug hooking (or tufting, depending on the pile of the rug, looped or cut). Pretty much all fiber arts I’ve had on my craft bucket list for years, but have yet to really try. You probably know how much we love rugs by now (as evidenced by this post, and this post on our other blog) — anything that can serve as a functional piece AND as killer artwork without taking up precious apartment space is bound to be well loved around here.
As we’re poking around, making friends to follow on our newly minted Instagram account, we’ve found some incredible rug artists who use this technique to create one of a kind tufted rugs of every size. Lucky for us, a few of them have Etsy shops, too!
