It’s no secret how much we love ceramics. (Just a little evidence here and here.) As much as I love all the mugs and tableware (our IG features aren’t exclusively ceramics… but they sure could be.) At different times last year Angela and I both complained to each other about our need for cute butter dishes (with lids for sure, because, cats) but couldn’t find them anywhere. It was all oversized white dishes (often with farmhouse lettering and some sort of punny “butter” label–because otherwise what’s underneath would be an unsolvable mystery) and Le Creuset.
But the universe must have felt the struggle too, because somewhere over the next few months, our favorite brands and artists started making unique butter dishes. Now they’re having a moment, and we couldn’t be happier to see our love of ceramics and practical need to keep our butter soft and protected come together. Ah, the things that excite you in your 30s, haha.
