I’ve been searching all across the internet for places to buy art prints and posters over the last several months as my current apartment has much more wall space than my last. Most of the artwork, which isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things (I can never decide), I’ve collected over the years has come from Etsy (more on that below), but lately I’ve expanded my search to some really cool marketplaces that also offer tools like creating your own gallery wall, artist profiles, framed prints, and more. Some of these art sites focus on a specific style (like Danish and Scandinavian artwork which we obviously love) and others make just about every style, medium, and location accessible to us all. Below, find our favorite places to shop art online:
where to buy art prints, originals & posters online
Desenio
Desenio is a marketplace to discover Scandinavian art prints and posters. They have a lot to choose from but it still feels curated and not too overwhelming to comb through. Their site has a fun gallery wall tool to plan your space, and I also like looking at their Instagram to visualize different pieces on the walls.

A peek at my favorites list from Artfully Walls
Artfully Walls
UK art site Artfully Walls brings gallery wall inspired art to homes worldwide. They typically curate contemporary, whimsical, and trending wall art and have an inspiration page that guides you to the best art for your interior style. Their shops section is another fun way to shop by theme. Artfully Walls also has a wide range of frame styles for those buying framed artwork, though I’m not sure the cost to ship to the US.
Ships: UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Ireland
Offers: Art Prints, Original Art, Gallery Walls
Best for: Art Prints, Custom Framing
Peléton
Denmark print and poster site Peléton has a build-your-own poster wall tool. Their feature page also offers in-depth artist bios to get to know the people behind the work.

Art Finder
Art marketplace Art Finder is a B-corp with a focus on making art sustainable and affordable. They offer artwork from hundreds of artists around the world along with a look into their studios and processes. While they do sell art prints, they are most known for their large selection of original art that you can shop by budget. When you search their website, be sure to make use of their many filters to narrow it down to the type, style, price, and size of art you want… it’s easy to get overwhelmed!

Original artwork by Jade Fisher available at Greenhouse Interiors
Tickled Pink bedspread by Jade Fisher from Greenhouse Interiors
Greenhouse Interiors
Our favorite Australian art site Greenhouse Interiors offers art, home decor, textiles, and lifestyle goods by Australian and global artists. It’s such a beautifully curated brand and a great way to discover new artists, especially if you love trendy art prints, colorful landscapes, and lots of florals. I love that you can also snag great quality lifestyle goods like the bedspread above from the artists they partner with! They have a 3D art app that allows you to visualize pieces within your space as well.
Note: Shipping from Australia can be costly, so while they have a US site some items may not be available/realistic to purchase. Some of the artist features will fulfill the piece directly from their studios, so you’ll need to check on shipping costs and policies on an individual basis.
Ships: Australia-wide and internationally depending on item
Offers: Original artwork, Decor, Lifestyle, Art inspired gifts
Best for: Australian artwork, Smaller art pieces & decor if outside Australia
Oasis Painting on canvas by Novi Lim
Saatchi Art
Saatchi is another enormous resource for everything from original artwork to fine art prints, though a little more high end than a lot of the marketplaces on this list. My favorite way to browse their site is the shop by color tool, because they have so many hues to choose from!
If you need inspiration, they release new curated collections every week for you to discover new art.

As the name suggests, Swedish website Postery is a place to buy trendy art prints, posters, and frames. They feature whimsical, trending Scandinavian art and vintage posters. I like that you can filter between prints with a border or not.

Etsy
Etsy is an incredible marketplace overflowing with talented artists from around the world, but it is so big that it is notoriously difficult to shop there. But as someone who has been using Etsy since 2008 (has it been 15 years already, uh?!) I’ve gotten pretty good at it. The trick is to use every filter possible, including choosing “handmade” (so it filters out vintage art and decor, unless that’s what you’re looking for), which is toward the bottom of the filter options. You can also narrow your options by category, subject matter, style, orientation, framing, and color. If you’re not exactly sure what your’e looking for but simply want it to be your aesthetic, color is super helpful to shop by! By choosing each filter, I’ve narrowed generic searches of “abstract landscape” from 420K results to 1,700. Much more manageable.
One other tip: Be sure to narrow your options by price. The most frustrating thing to me about buying art on Etsy is the thousands upon thousands of printable artwork offered. Many of us are not looking to print the artwork ourselves. I filter it out by starting the price at about $20 (depending on the size I’m looking for), because many people sell printable for dirt cheap, and that’s not a price point most artists can hit when printing and shipping themselves. It’s not a perfect system, but it works!
Ships: Varies by Artist
Offers: Art Prints, Posters, Frames, Original Art, & Printable Art
Best for: Shopping via Price, Location, Style etc.
Selection of art prints from Society6
Society6
I love Society6 for discovering new artists and buying art-inspired gifts, but I have such a difficult time shopping their site. There is just an endless amount of art to choose from, and I find that their filters, while plentiful, don’t often capture what I’m hoping to find unless I can be very specific. Instead, I like to browse their featured collections section which highlights art and decor trends, curated lists by designers, and individual artist spotlights. If you’re looking to fill your walls in the most affordable way fast, Society6 is the way to do it, with their frequent promos extensive product lines.
Ships: US and Internationally, with some goods US only
Offers: Art Prints, Posters, Decor, Lifestyle Goods
Best for: Affordable Art, Art inspired Decor

Lastly, a shameless plug for our own boutique, wallflower, which offers a small curated collection of art prints that we’re excited to expand as the months go on! These are all international artists and our prints ship from the US so we’re happy to bring them to our local community!
