Ah, the many lessons the pandemic has taught me. One is that jeans are no longer necessary and also why did I waste so much of my life wearing them? I officially move them to formal-event-only territory. I may not miss jeans, but I DO miss doing myself up with makeup and hair, mostly because it’s fun to experiment with hair trends (and, thanks to the pandemic I haven’t got it cut in a year, so I have a lot to work with). And like, what if I just stopped getting it dyed? I could put that money toward SO. MANY. HAIR. CLIPS! Brilliant, no?
When I do run a comb through my hair once again (preferably a Machete comb, see below), I think I’m going to become an accessory gal. Hopefully it’ll distract from the brassy color, frizz, and split ends, at least a little.
Forever fans of Eloise Panetta’s naturally dyed silk scrunchies. Also, anyone else getting super into looking at dreamy product photography of the accessory variety? Clearly having a moment.
I mean we all know Machete, right? Gimme all the hair combs.
Love the boxy take on claw clips, not to mention ajouter’s lavender and peach palette.
If you like your hair trends a little more colorful, go with Chunks jelly claws!
NAT + NOOR makes minimalist, romantic hair clips in pastel hues. Also, ruffle socks!
I shall be fancy as a gentle woman, thanks to MLE.
Another spectacular example of acetate hair trends, a la Fenna and Fei’s mini French claw clips.
What’s dreamier than a purple cloud? Swooning over this big, fluffy, purple silk organza scrunchie by Charlie Paisley.
Not to mention this scrunchie in blush!
Our friends at UNDO make the prettiest ethically made hair clips and combs, which also happen to look stunning in photos! DRE-AMY!
Llani’s embellished headbands stop me in my tracks every damn time. I purchased the mint one and love it so. Plus, those blush ones would make THE prettiest bridal headbands (but that wouldn’t stop me from buying one).
Hi, summer wardrobe. Beklina has a gingham collection with dresses and sunhats called scarf hats, which is kinda like wearing a matching hat and scrunchies. Grapefruit is my favorite hue.
You don’t need much else when you’ve got a cute poodle in your hair.
What’s your hair situation? Have you been keeping up with the upkeep, or going au naturel?
