Sometimes, actually most of the time, it seems as if trends come and go before you can even have fun with them. But these little trend roundups, which we’ve been doing since 2020, always remind me that the good ones actually stick around a lot longer! Take the quilt jacket trend. We first wrote about it back in 2021, but here I am updating the post four years later, and now there’s even more to love about those quilted coats you’ve been seeing all this time.
Last year, after favoriting so, so many patchwork coats and vests on my personal Etsy account, I bought this fun pink Indian quilt jacket from a shop based in Jaipur. It was actually a bit too fun–for a while I didn’t know what to wear it with! But once I finally put together an outfit, I got so many compliments. Everyone loved the different colors and fabrics, and I love nothing more than telling people when I get something from an Etsy shop or small designer.
All that to say, quilt fashion is still in, and to follow is the ultimate guide to finding one you love. I guarantee you these are the most beautiful, sustainable, and original options to get the look, that you’ll find.

If you want a quilt coat that’s not too granny, designer AureliaZweiFrauen is where to look. My favorites are this color block quilt jacket, and…

this colorful striped quilt coat (now sold out, but here’s the vest), because of the fun colorful stripes on each!

Dropped everything I was doing and hurried back here to update our post when I caught sight of this incredible Rujuta Sheth patchwork jacket. Not a quilt, per se, but I thought if you love that look you’ll adore this piece too. Isn’t it STUNNING?!

Most of them are one of a kind, too! Do you have a quilt jacket or patchwork fashion? We can’t get enough, but we still love them as blankets of course.
