There are a few 90s trends I just can’t get behind (I don’t know why, bucket hats are just too ten-year-old-me) but padded headbands are one vintage revival I’ve already added (back) into the rotation in 2022. Which is some serious dedication as I am one of those people who gets headaches from hair accessories and sunglasses, so if I’m going to suffer in the name of fashion, it’s gotta be good. And these headbands are goooood. Rhinestones, sequins, embellishments, velvet, those wide stripes that look like the grosgrain ribbon ones I used to make with my hot glue gun—the louder, the better. Here are my favorites, for spring in particular!
