Where To Buy Pretty Curtains & Drapes

published on 9/9/26 by Angela Hamilton

When it comes to home linens, it’s nearly impossible for me to make a decision. I currently have three windows in my home that could use drapes, and only one of them has them. I’ve probably looked at thousands of pretty curtains at this point. But the only one I do have? Plain white, because I just couldn’t figure out what I wanted.

But window treatments do so much to make a house a home, and curtains are a renter’s best friend. All you need is a curtain rod (this cheap brushed gold one from Target has been doing the trick for several years now), no major installation needed. I love how the right fabric can act as a focal point, or a piece of art, the hero of a space. Since I still don’t know what I want, I might as well share what I’ve been mulling over… There’s nothing like a big blog roundup to remind me just how much of the legwork I’ve done, and that all that there’s left to do is choose.

Where to buy the prettiest curtains and drapes

So Linen Dusty Pink Semi Sheer Linen Curtains with Bows

If you’ve hung around here for any amount of time, you know that most of my shopping guides contain a lot of Etsy links. Etsy isn’t what it used to be (both from the buyer and seller perspective), but I’ve yet to come across a better place to find creative, unique decor at any price point, without having to resort to Amazon dupes. Not to mention most of the time you can get something CUSTOM, which is rare at most budgets. It takes some digging, but I still find amazing things and shop there all the time! So let’s start there:

PRETTY CURTAINS ON ETSY

The dusty pink, semi sheer curtains above come from SoLinen. I am also a big fan of this ruffled version – so dramatic and fluffy! This is a shop that really knows curtains and drapes. They offer them for different rod/hanging types, and with different hems and styles. I personally love the bow ties!

Pink Green Checkered Blackout Curtain, Ruffle Top Lined Drapes, Retro Cottage Farmhouse Panel LunivaTextile

LunivaTextile offers made-to-measure curtains and linens in different weights, from sheer to blackout. I love the ruffle top-lined style shown above, not to mention the colored checkers. Like many, if not all, of the Etsy shops I’m sharing here, you need to choose your curtain dimensions and # of panels (usually 2) before you can see the price. (Side note: Don’t be fooled by listings that say something like 12 dollars for curtains, as they probably mean that’s the price of a sample swatch! Ha.)

Scalloped Linen Curtain | Brown Pink Wavy Edge Room Divider, Boho Decor HouseOfMakiDesigns

HouseOfMakiDesigns doesn’t just create linens, but textile art. This scalloped linen panel can be used as drapes or room dividers. They are not cheap, but they sure look like something you’d keep around for years and years.

Custom Size Ruffled Linen Curtain, Pink & Brown with hearts Under Sink Skirt, Tie Top Striped Shower Curtain, Handmade Kitchen Cabinet Cafe Curtain, Bathroom Vanity Skirt HouseOfMakiDesigns

Another HouseOfMaki favorite. Pink and brown (our obsession this year!) made even prettier with ruffles. Can be used for windows of different sizes, and they also offer a shower curtain version (yes, need).

Linen Pojagi Curtain Set, Korean Custom Patchwork Panel, Abstract Fabric Textile Art, Boho Panel GureAteliers

Gure Ateliers is another artistic brand with original designs that you just know no one else will have! It’s like having a functional tapestry in your home. These sheer patchwork curtain panels are inspired by traditional Korean Bojagi designs. They also offer really beautiful designs that are perfect for nurseries or kids playrooms.

RootedWeaves floral print curtains from Etsy

Rooted Weaves has a little bit of everything but I think it’s best for nursery curtains and drapes. They have the most beautiful illustrations for little ones that you can find on curtains! Here are the florals above and the bunnies below.

RootedWeaves bunny print nursery curtains Rooted Weaves rainbow stripe curtains from Etsy

These block printed stripes from Rooted Weaves are such a fun color palette for kids too! Their whole shop is dedicated to creating quality, handcrafted textiles from mostly natural materials, with attention to the smallest details. They offer custom made as well and ship from the US!

RootedWeaves Kids Nursery Pastel Ombre Roman Shades

You can order Roman shade styles from them as well! These pastels are too cute for a nursery.

What About Making Your Own Curtains?

If you’re planning to go the DIY around and create your own curtains from a fabric you’ve fallen in love with, I also have a few shops bookmarked to get you started.

Fableism pink and orange fabric for DIY curtains

Fableism Supply Co is a fabric shop that pretty much all the cool kids in the sewing community create their clothing and textiles from. Shop on fableism.com or source via Etsy.

Paisly Print are hand block printed fabrics in an amazing variety of botanical and floral prints, gingham, stripes, and more with a lot of color options.

Willamette Textiles offers Fableism as well as other coveted designer fabrics.

I’ve had EllyDesignAU saved for their pretty silk tencel fabrics, though you may need a lot of it to create drapes.

Etsy Vintage – Or, just search on Etsy to find vintage or deadstock fabric to use for your next DIY!

Hand Stitched Abstract Floral Shower Curtain – Red Appliqué Cotton Flower Fabric – Boho Bathroom Decor HouseOfMakiDesigns

Cutest floral shower curtain by House of Maki

Yep, they can be used as shower curtains too

Growing up, I always thought shower curtains had to be that PVC or PEVA, because my family never had a fabric curtain. (Strange?) But fabric shower curtains are so much prettier, and you can pair with a liner and wash/ change them out separately. So many of the pretty curtains above were also modeled in bathrooms, so I’m including them in the mix of Etsy links below, too. (And if I ever get a 2nd bathroom, I’ll be ordering one. For now, I still love this West Elm scalloped design I currently have.)

Approximately seven hours later, and I am still no closer to a decision. Comment your faves below, because I need HELP.
